Deon & Ilse Odendaal

On the second of June 2012, Ilse and Deon Odendaal got married in Riversdale, but not just in Riversdale... Ilse's mother owns the Central Hotel in Riversdale and has been restoring it for the last 4/5 years to an amazing, very classy hotel. Ilse got dressed in the hotel and the reception was also in the hotel.  The atmosphere was great and they even had a chef that made the gourmet food!!

I tried to capture the texture and feel of the hotel in my pictures and to top my day, they took me to some old lapidated houses, without roofs, bottle green and blue painted walls inside, somewhere in the fields to photograph them! (Not giving away the spot, sorry photographers.)

Hume Family

The Hume family is regulars of me when it comes to family photos! They've
got two lovely boys, Jack and Burden.

Jack is nearly 2, so he wants to explore everything and don't care much
for posing for photos at the moment, while Burden, nearly 1, loves
posing for the photos! Brian, their father, bribed Jack later with some
sweets, that the nice camera lady would give him... and from then on it
was sold, you just said sweets and he was smiling all the way!!

Like always we got lovely shots of this happy family and I'm still
very much in debt with the sweets...

Danie & Mari van Greunen

It’s been a while, but I’m back! Joa is nearly three months old and on April 28 I did my first wedding, Danie and Mari van Greunen.

They got married in Mari’s home town, Riversdale. It was a very nice sunny-blue-sky day and with a smile like Mari’s you can only get beautiful shots! She got dressed at a beautiful new venue in Riversdale, Deo Volente, http://www.capestay.co.za/deovolente/ , with sleeping beauty in the background.  Danie were all smiles when he saw his bride walking down the aisle and from there on you couldn’t wipe that smile of his face! 

At the reception the family had a blast and the cousins gave us quite a show on the dance floor!!  Even the grandparents were shuffling on LMFAO! Like always the photo booth was a hit! From the preacher to the school’s headmaster, (Mari’s father) were posing like firemen and Vikings!
