Johan & Jenny Dixon

Johan and Jenny Dixon said their vows to each other on September the 29th, 2012 in Albertinia.

Jenny looked stunning and was one of the calmest brides I've had the pleasure of working with!

They had the reception at the lovely Garden Route Game lodge, www.grgamelodge.co.za . Of course I was very amped for the photos, because I get to do the game drive with them! We got very close to a young curious giraffe and some zebras! Also an ostrich on an egg... everybody just kept watching the van and were ready to run a 100m sprint if he would stand up, luckily he didn't see us!

Unfortunately we couldn't go to the elephants, but I think we got great shots anyway!

AL-2-HEZ MBC

September the 8th, 2012, a brand new mountain bike challenge made his appearance in Riversdale in the Western Cape…The AL-2-HEZ Mountain Bike Challenge. Make sure to mark this event on your calendar if you’re a cycler, because it’s one not to be missed!

The routes consist out of two tracks, 44km and 91km. I quote Wannabees Cycling Club: "The road takes you through fynbos, cultivated forestry, ascending to a climb of 1602m, overlooking the whole of Riversdale."

At the start the bike riders were very friendly when I took their photos, but nearer the end I caught them after a super long uphill and the breaths and smiles were almost gone! At the finishing point everybody looked like they just went for a Sunday stroll and were as fresh as can be! The main man in the organizing of this event, was Wedré Geldenhuys 072 226 0371,
mbf@wispernet.co.za .

You can follow their Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/#!/Al2Hez?fref=ts to see when the next AL-2-Hez MBC is.

Abby turned 1

The lovely spring flower, Abby van Deventer, had her first birthday party on spring day, September 1st.

Her mum, Julie, made it a day to remember for everyone, since you've switched off your car and walked towards the party! Outside was a big ABBY banner and teddy bears in polka dot tins on the doorstep. Inside there were balloons hanging from the ceiling, little boxes with each kid's name written on it with icing, sweets, cookies, cakes and you name it, it probably would have been there!!

The kids had a blast and so did everyone else!
