Frans & Hanri van Zijl

March 15, 2014, after two weeks of rain storms and bad weather, the skies opened for this small town photographer with the most beautiful weather and I photographed my school friend Hanri and her new husband, Frans van Zijl's wedding at Rand Airport, Johannesburg.

Hanri's father is the local reverend at Albertinia NG church, their hometown. He had the honour of marrying his second daughter in the open air of Johannesburg.

The venue was awesome, the ceremony, held just outside of the hanger, while planes and helicopters were flying through the air and bp fuel trucks running up and down while the students practiced!

We then got to take photos in front of the airplanes and on the runway! Like I said beautiful blue skies and a even more beautiful bride made for stunning photos!

Then the reception was held inside of the hanger with the planes around the tables where the guests sits and spotlights on the planes to give it that extra special look!

It was a really nice weekend, but as I sits in the airport waiting for our delayed flight I will be even more thankful for our view on the mountains, sea and waving for everybody as you pass them in the car  when we get home!
